We have now come to the second act in the collaboration between Hydroven and Muncie Power Products, a leading manufacturer of power take-offs and oleodynamic components for the work truck industry based in Indiana, USA.
The second automatic test bench for trialling single, double and triple gear pumps in various configurations was completed in June 2023. This was made possible thanks to the effort that went into rendering this system flexible and quickly reconfigurable.
The bench is equipped with a 90-kW variable position motor, necessary for accommodating and testing different pump ranges with increasing size.
Hydroven’s design was primarily focused on finding the right ergonomics for test personnel and accessibility for those engaged in routine and extraordinary maintenance operations.
Daily test operations are possible thanks to a PLC integrated into the main structure of the bench, whose programming language was developed with one of Hydroven’s international partners to make the pump activation and testing process LEAN.
